SP 3100 AU CLEAR (2-Pack Clear Overcoat for PVC Sticker)

Teikoku SP 3100 AU CLEAR is a 2-pack, isocyanate-hardening, urethane-type clear overcoat designed to be printed on Teikoku VKT Ink. Teikoku SP 3100 AU CLEAR provides superior gloss and weather resistance. It is suitable as a clear overcoat for PVC stickers used on automobiles, motorbikes, outdoor signage, etc.

Applications

Special Features

♦ Faster drying than “TEIKOKU SP 2100 AU Clear”.
♦ Superior weather resistance and superior gloss.
♦ Well balanced ink layer hardness.
♦ Pot life is longer than 8 hours.

Mixing with Catalyst & Thinning

♦ Stir well before every use.
♦ Add 13 parts of "210 Catalyst" to 100 parts of SP 3100 AU Clear and mix well.
♦ Pot life is 8-10 hours at room temperature. Mix only quantity needed.
♦ Use Z-704 Thinner with 10-20% dilution ratio.

Printing & Cleaning

♦ 180-225 mesh monofilament polyester stencil is recommended.
♦ Coverage is 25-35 mH2SO4 /kg. with 200 mesh.
"Screen Cleaner N" is recommended to clean the stencil.

Drying

♦ More than 60 minutes at 60°C is recommended for complete drying.
♦ Complete dryness is necessary to remove residual solvent, which otherwise leads to lack of adhesion and resistance.

Caution

♦ Printed articles should be piled up after heated drying for 60 minutes at 60°C and put on a rack for 15 hours.
♦ Application tape should be applied after 60 minutes of heated drying at 60°C and 24 hours of storing.
♦ Alcohol resistance test should be applied to confirm sufficient curing after heated drying.
It is possible to detect insufficient curing, or excessive and deficient catalyst.
SP 2110AU Clear has resistance for 15-20 times back & forth immediately after heated drying, and 50 times or more back & forth immediately after complete drying.

Attention

Adhesion testing must be done at your site with actual substrate before commercial run. There may be a difference between substrates of different manufacturers and even between different batches of substrate from the same supplier.

Safety and Handling

Flammable. UN Class: 3.3 (Flammable liquid with high flash point). UN No.: 1210.
Use safety gloves and eyeglasses to protect skin and eyes. If the ink or coating contacts the skin, wash with plenty of water and soap. In case of contact with the eyes, wash with plenty of water and consult with a doctor. Containers should be tightly closed immediately after use, and stored in a cool, dark place. MSDS is available. Please ask for a copy, and read it carefully before handling materials. Please follow the instructions.
