TOC-HF Screen Ink (Halogen Free, High transparency Ink for Molding)

TOC-HF Ink forms the transparent colored ink layer and can obtain mirror effect surface with vivid color by back printing of MIR-HF51000 Mirror Silver:
TOC-HF Ink is environmentally friendly ink for IMD/FIM with no intentional use of Halogen compounds (Bromine(Br), Chlorine(Cl) ) and its Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, Isophorone free content.

• Creation of transparent pattern printed substrate on PC sheet, Treated PRT film.
• Suitable for IMD/FIM applications with PMMA (Acrylic), ABS, PC/ABS, PC resins

• Obtain mirror effect surface with vivid color by back printing of MIR-HF51000 Mirror Silver.
• Halogen compounds, Bromine (Br), Chlorine (Cl) are not intentionally used in raw materials.
• Please use MIX-HF ink as back printing ink for TOC-HF, MIR-HF51000 Mirror Silver.

• Stir well before every use.
• Thinning solvent: Z-706 Solvent (Standard), Z-703 Solvent (Slow Dry)
  Adjust by 30～35％ as standard thinning amount.
• Please add 106 Catalyst 2％ in case of use for PET material and usage of molding
• Do not use the other solvents as they may cause negative influence on stability on stencil, transparency, adhesiveness, etc.
• Screen Cleaner N is recommended to clean the stencil.
  

• T-350～T-420 mesh is recommended.
• Coverage at T-420.mesh is about 45～55m2/kg.
  

• Heated drying is necessary. 80°C-10 minutes for interim drying and 80°C-30 minutes for final drying are recommended.
• 80°C-60 minutes of drying after printing Binder is strongly recommended for using Film Insert Molding.
• Drying time varies depending on printed area, mesh of stencil, performance of dryer, and printing surroundings such as room temperature, humidity, etc. Preliminary test and confirmation at actual printing conditions is strongly recommended.

• Refrain from using solvents and catalysts other than specified ones as Halogen components may interfuse.
  Check halogen contents of squeegee rubber, emulsion, substrate and other equipments, before using as they may contain halogen components.
• In the Insert Molding (in which the printing sheet is inserted inside the mold and is integrated with injected molded resin), the finished product may be affected by any of the following causes: the substrate material, the ink used in pattern printing, selection of binder, the printing conditions, the printing order, the drying method and condition, selection of the molded resin, the mold design (type and position of the injection gates, number of gates), and the injection conditions, etc.
• Preliminary testing under actual conditions and setting of all those conditions is strongly recommended before a commercial run.
• IMB-HF006 Binder (for all sorts of base material) or IMB-HF009 Binder (for PC base material) corresponding to Halogen Free is strongly recommended for using binder. Please refer to a separate instruction for use.

Use safety gloves and eyeglasses to protect skin and eyes. If the ink or coating comes in contact with skin, wash with soap and plenty of water. If ink comes in contact with eyes, wash with plenty of water and consult with a doctor. Containers should be closed tightly after use and stored in cool, dark place.

Ink: TOC-HF399 BLUE
Thinning: Z-706 Solvent (thinning 30%)
Printing: T-420 mesh, Box drying at 80°C for 30 minutes

Tested molded object：
Test the film insert mold panel made with the abovementioned printed sheet and the molding resin of PC/ABS.
