UV BAG & UV BAM Screen Ink (UV-curable Ink for Large Banners)
UV BAG & UV BAM are UV-curable screen printing inks for large-scale banners. UV BAG is a semi-gloss; UV BAM is matte finish ink for 4-Color separation printing. These inks provide superior adhesion and a flexible ink layer. UV BAG & UV BAM show superior water-resistance and crease-resistance on synthetic paper. Either ink is a cost-effective choice in comparison to other UV inks.

Special Features

Mixing, Thinning and Cleaning
♦ Put 10% of Color Base into UV BAG-002 EXTENDER BASE or UV BAM-002 EXTENDER BASE, and stir well. Color Base amount can be adjusted around 5-15%, depending on printing.
♦ Thinning is not required for standard applications. However, thinning with RE-804 up to 10 % improves the printability at high-speed printing.
♦ A Thixotropic Agent is recommended to increase the viscosity by adding 1-2%.
♦“Screen Cleaner N” is recommended to clean the stencil. Do not use thinner to clean the stencil.
Printing
♦ Stir well before every use.
♦ 300-380 mesh monofilament screen is recommended as stencil.
♦ Coverage is about 60-90 m2 /kg. at 300 mesh.
Curing
♦ Curability and adhesion of UV BAG, UV BAM inks may be affected by: 1) Lower ink layer's color, 2) Ink layer, 3) Type, grade, color of substrate, 4) Multi-layer printing, 5) Type of UV lamp and exposure conditions, 6) Treatment degree of substrate.
♦ One 80 w/cm metal halide or high pressurized mercury lamp, 15cm lamp height, and 20-25 m/min. belt speed is considered standard.
Additives
♦ Use SM 269 Defoamer to avoid foaming or repelling, add up to 1%.

Caution
Our ink products are stabile for 1 year from shipping if stored appropriately. Adhesion testing must be done at your site with actual substrate. Different lots of substrate might show different results. Slight change of application conditions might affect the results.
Please, do not use for printed matter enclosed in packages of optical disks such as CDs and CD-Rs.
Safety & Handling
Not Flammable.
Use safety gloves and eyeglasses to protect skin and eyes. If the ink or coating contacts the skin, wash with plenty of water and soap. In case of contact with the eyes, wash with plenty of water and consult with a doctor.
Containers should be tightly closed immediately after use, and stored in a cool, dark place.
