GLS-HF Screen Ink (Halogen Free Ink for Glass)

GLS-HF Ink Halogen free ink especially designed for glass. This ink is a thermo curing two-pack ink. It has good on-the-stencil stability, adhesion and resistance. It has wide variety of colors, and metallic colors and pearl colors are also available. This ink does not contain benzene, toluene, cyclohexanone, xylene and isophoron, and therefore is environmentally friendly.

♦ Glass

• Halogen free(Cl ≤900ppm, Br ≤900ppm, Cl+Br ≤1500ppm)
• Has excellent on-the-stencil stability and suitable to big size printing.
• Has wide variety of colors.
• Excellent adhesion to glass and has good resistance.
• Does not contain benzene, toluene, xylene isophoron, cyclohexanone, and therefore is environmentally friendly.

• Stir well before every use.
• Thin with 5-15% of Z-705 solvent for normal use.
• Do not use other solvent or it may occur bad effect to adhesion, curing and on-the-stencil stability.
• Add 0.5 parts of GLS GLASS PROMOTER to 100 parts of ink, and stir well. Catalyst is not needed.
• Pot life is about 6 hours. After 6 hours, the ink does not get gelation but adhesion and resistance will drop. Please prepare only the required quantity.
• “Screen Cleaner N” is suitable to cleaning.

• 180-250 mesh monofilament screen is recommended as stencil.
• Coverage with 250 mesh is about 35-40 m2/kg with HF919 Black and 30-35 with HF619 White.

• Must be dried longer than 30 minutes at 150 °C . Otherwise may suffer insufficient adhesion and resistance. When dried at 230 °C, longer than 10 minutes will be enough.
• When print multi times, dry 10 minutes at 80 °C after printing each color to get tack free dry, and final drying should be done 30 minutes at 150 °C.

GLS Glass Promoter： Add 0.5% of GLS Glass Promoter, or adhesion will not be appearing.

SM 40 Defoamer: Add 2% when foaming or repelling appears.

Functional inks, metallic inks and Pearl inks are available by request.

• Adhesion test must be done at your site with actual conditions. Different lots of substrate might show different result. Slight change of application conditions might affect the results.
• Use the designated solvent and catalysts. If not, halogenated compound may get mixed. Squeezee rubber, emulsion, machine, printing substrate may be included. Please confirm before use.

Use safety gloves and eyeglasses to protect skin and eyes. If the ink or coating contacts the skin, wash with plenty of water and soap. In case of contact with the eyes, wash with plenty of water and consult with a doctor. Containers should be tightly closed immediately after use, and stored in a dark and cool place.
