PS Screen Ink (2-Pack Ink for Metal & Glass)

Teikoku PS Ink is a 2-pack solvent type ink with superior adhesion to metal, glass, ceramics, and some plastics.

Substrates

Thinning, Mixing & Cleaning

♦ Stir well before every use.
♦ Use C-002 (Standard) thinner with 15-30% dilution for standard applications. C-001 (Fast dry), C-003 (Slow dry), C-004 (Extra slow dry) are also available with same dilution ratio.
♦ Avoid excessive thinning and avoid using other solvents as this may cause blocking and lack of adhesion .
♦ Catalyst:
Add 2 parts PS Catalyst to 10 parts* of PS Color ink and mix well
Add 1 part PS Catalyst to 3 parts* of PS Medium ink and mix well
♦ Matte finish is also available with PS Matte Catalyst.
Add 4 parts PS Matte Catalyst to 10 parts* PS Color ink and mix well
Add 2 parts PS Matte Catalyst to 3 parts* PS Medium ink and mix well
♦ Pot life is 8 hours; mix only quantity needed.
"Screen Cleaner N" or C-002 Thinner is recommended to clean the stencil.

Printing & Drying

♦ 150-300 monofilament mesh is recommended as stencil. Coverage is 20-25 m2/kg with 250 mesh.
♦ Tack free drying time at room temperature is 1-2 hours. Complete drying requires 30 minutes at 80°C or 15 minutes at 120°C. It takes several days to get full resistance if dried at room temperature.

Safety and Handling

Flammable. Flash point is 66-68°C UN Class: Not applied. UN No.: Not applied.
Use safety gloves and eyeglasses to protect skin and eyes. If the ink or coating contacts the skin, wash with plenty of water and soap. In case of contact with the eyes, wash with plenty of water and consult with a doctor. Containers should be tightly closed immediately after use, and stored in a cool, dark place. MSDS is available. Please ask for a copy, and read it carefully before handling materials. Please follow the instructions.

Caution

♦ Adhesion testing must be done at your site with actual substrate before commercial run. There may be a difference between substrates of different manufacturers or even different batches of substrate from the same supplier.

Additives

PS Catalyst: For Gloss finish, add 2 parts to 10 parts of color ink or add 1 part to 3 parts of medium ink.
PS Matte Catalyst: For matte finish, add 4 parts to 10 parts of color ink or add 2 parts to 3 parts of medium ink.
PS-G Catalyst & PS-G Reinforcer: Combining PS-G Catalyst with PS-G glass reinforcer, when printing on tempered glass, is recommended to improve the adhesion. Mixing ratios are as follows.
PS ink: PS-G Catalyst: PS-G glass reinforcer = 100:30:3 Pot life is about 3 hours.
Drying should be done for 30 minutes at 130 °C.
PS Reinforcer: Adhesion to glass can be improved by adding of 1-2%.
PS-M Catalyst: Provides slow reaction when mixed with catalyst, add 3 parts of PSM Catalyst to 10 Parts of PS Catalyst and mix well. For medium ink add 1.5 parts to 3 parts of medium ink
