VAR Screen Ink (Gloss Ink for Acrylic, Rigid PVC, PC and ABS)

Teikoku VAR is solvent type gloss ink with superior adhesion to acrylic and rigid PVC. It has superior solvent resistance. Suitable for outdoor signboard, display panels of cars, and home electronics

Substrate & Application

♦ Acrylic, rigid and soft PVC, PC and ABS resin.

Special Features

♦ Superior scratch resistance
♦ Superior alcohol and solvent thinner resistance
♦ Suitable for vacuum forming
♦ Weather-resistant standard colors (suitable for outdoor signage)

Thinning

♦ Stir well before every use.
♦ Use G-002 thinner with 15-20 % dilution. G-001 (fast dry), G-003 (slow dry) and G-004 (extra slow dry) thinners are also available with same dilution ratios.
♦ Avoid excessive thinning and avoid using other solvents as this may cause blocking and lack of adhesion.

Printing

♦ T-150-300 mesh is recommended as the stencil. Coverage is about 40m2/kg with 250 mesh.
♦ 033 Gel Compound is recommended to improve printability of metallic and transparent colors and to get sharp definition. Add 10-20% by decreasing thinner.

Cleaning

♦ “Screen Cleaner N" and G-002 Thinner are recommended to clean the stencil.

Drying

♦ Tack free drying time at room temperature is about 10-15 minutes when printed on acrylic plate. More than 60 minutes at 60-70°C is recommended for blocking -resistant complete drying.
♦ Drying properties may differ depending on material, room temperature, printed amount, and size of printed area. Please determine drying time after confirming the actual conditions.
♦ Residual solvent may cause protective sheet degradation and blocking. Apply heated drying for slow dry thinners to avoid residual solvent.

Caution

Adhesion testing must be done at your site with actual substrate before commercial run. There may be a difference between substrates from different manufacturers or even different batches of substrate from the same supplier.
When plasticizers and/or additives migrate to the surface, adhesion may decrease. In such a case, wiping with alcohol is recommended.
Ink can might get rusty in high humidity places. Please use the ink as soon as possible once the can is opened.

Safety and Handling

Flammable. UN Class: Class 3 UN Number: 1210 Contains Cyclohexanone.10-30%
