Design of electric appliances has been restricted by the shape and position of IR receiving windows because the windows could not be ornamentally decorated with traditional inks that would block the transmission of IR rays.
Teikoku Printing Inks now offers color inks for IR windows that allow IR transmittance. As a result, the product designers have a greater variety of color design options available using these new inks.

In order to solve the problem where the front panels of flat screen TVs tend to scar easily, Teikoku Printing Inks has developed a hard and durable ink to print over the surface. We added and anti-reflection function to the ink as well and as a result image quality is improved.

Manufacturers sought to increase the brightness of LC displays, but this was rather difficult and would increase the material cost and power consumption. Teikoku Printing Inks' high-reflective ink helped to increase the brightness and sharpness, and at a lower cost.

As cellular phones and remote control devices have many tiny buttons on the surface, improvements were desired that would provide better handling in dark places with less power consumption. Chrome plating can provide an attractive metallic gloss, but the adverse effect on the environment that it causes is great and needed to be addressed.
We provided a solution to eliminate the environmental impact by using our Mirror Ink, which provides a printed mirror finish. The solution not only eliminated the chrome plating process but also decreased the cost and increased productivity during the manufacturing process.

Note: Municipal bylaws require customers to recycle certain types of refuse which can include used products which have been manufactured with environmentally harmful components.

The process of assembling slot machines requires a lot of manual work and is hard to automate.
By printing with our functional inks we succeeded in reducing costs dramatically and also improved the print quality.

As the cellular phones use a light source in their operation, double printing is often needed to avoid light leakage.
With our special high opacity ink, one-ply printing results in opacity as good as that provided by the previous double layer printing process.
