GIZ-HF Screen Ink (Environmentally friendly Halogen Free Ink for Glass)

GIZ-HF Ink Series is environmentally friendly screen ink for glass with no intentional use of Halogen compounds (Bromine (Br), Chlorine (Cl)) and containing no Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, Isophorone , etc.

Characteristics of this ink are excellent Solvent resistance and adhesive resistance, high and stable dyne value of printed ink layer, and able to dry at low temperature compared with conventional inks for glass.

• Excellent in Solvent resistance and adhesive resistance compared with conventional inks for glass. (Suitable for after processing of various bonds and double sided tape.)
• High and stable dyne value of printed ink layer.
• It is possible to dry at lower temperature (120°C) than conventional inks for glass (150°C)
• Halogen compounds (Bromine (Br), Chlorine (CI)) are not intentionally used in raw materials.

• Stir well before every use.
• Additives: SM-708 Additives 5%
• In case of thinning, use C-004 Solvent 5% or less.
  Avoid using other solvents as they may have negative influence on curing property, adhesion, and stability on stencil.
• Usable time (pot life ) after adding Additives is 7 to 8 hours at room temperature (25°C).
  Do not use ink of expired pot life as it may degrade performance of the product.
• Use “Screen Cleaner N” to clean the printing stencil.

• T-300 to 420 mesh is suitable for printing.
• C overage at T-300 mesh is about 35 to 40 m²/kg.

• Standard drying conditions is 30 minutes at 150°C. Recommended drying temperature is 150°C, but temperature range from 120 to 150°C is applicable.
• For multi layer printing, 10 minutes at 150°C to get tack free before overprinting other color ink. Final drying should be done at 150°C for 30 minutes after printing final color.
• Drying characteristics vary depending on printed area, mesh of stencil, performance of dryer, and printing surroundings room temperature, humidity, etc. Preliminary test and confirmation at actual printing conditions are strongly recommended.

• Make sure of using SM-708 Additives 5% for ink.
• Refrain from using solvents other than specified ones as Halogen compounds may interfuse.
• Check squeegee rubber, emulsion, printing equipment and substrate before using as they may contain halogen compounds.
• Ink shelf life: Stable 1 year after manufacturing date.
• Adhesion and resistance may be changed by difference of substrate, process, printing and drying conditions. Adhesion and resistance tests at your site with actual conditions before commercial run are strongly recommended.

• Wear protective gloves/eye protection to protect skin and eyes. If ink comes in contact with skin, wash/rinse with plenty of water or warm water with soap. If in eyes, rinse eyes cautiously with plenty of water or lukewarm water, call a POISON CENTER/doctor and get medical advice.
• Keep container tightly closed after use and store in a dark and cool place.
